We value transparency and attention to detail in our diligent effort to make our client’s dream a reality.

Our Process

Once a basic design is established and a quote is produced, the finer details of the client's ideas will be turned into a 3D rendering to illustrate the direction of the final product.  Structural renderings of the deck framing will be used to meet the needs of the local townships when pulling permits.

At Cutting Edge Carpenters we push the envelope to be at the forefront of innovation and design on all aspects of a deck project. In place of a standard concrete footer, that has an unknown failure point, we use an engineered helical pile that can be torqued to a precise tolerance and can hold a specifically calculated load tailored to each individual project/design.

Learn more about helical piles at our provider Goliath Tech.

At Cutting Edge Carpenters we offer an endless amount of backyard possibilities from tiered decks, kitchenettes, roof structures, hot tubs, fireplace accent walls, and even patio and firepit designs. The first on-site visit will allow us to determine the type of structure required to support the needs of the project. Once the basic design details are established, a baseline quote can be produced.

Various Aspects of Deck Designs

Picture Frame

Picture framing a deck is important because it effectively hides the ends of the boards, creating a seamless appearance. This technique not only enhances the overall aesthetics of the deck but also contributes to its structural integrity by minimizing the exposure of the raw edges to the elements.

Skirting

Skirting a deck enhances its aesthetic appeal Utilizing deck boards in either a horizontal or vertical orientation adds a sophisticated element that elevates the overall design.

Lighting

Deck lighting creates a friendly atmosphere for entertaining and allows for extended socializing at night. Well-placed lights showcase architectural features, landscaping, and furniture, adding warmth and charm. Good lighting also ensures safety, especially for stairs, and is often required by building codes to prevent accidents.
